La Luz – Damp Face EP
La Luz’s Damp Face EP was recorded live to computer in one day. We used various compressors and and reverb tanks for drums, vocals, guitars and organs. I worked closely with the band in the mixing and editing process to remove any unwanted material. This was then dropped to our mastering reel to reel at the lowest tape speed using our preamps for high saturation.
Cock & Swan – Stash
This album was recorded with Ola Hungerford and Adam Kozie (with additional recordings provided by William Ryan Fritch). Johnny recorded to computer using various preamps and tape machines. Drums we recorded in the back of a carpeted van. I played acoustic guitar (nylon, steel string, fretless and resonator), percussion, bass guitar and backing vocals. I was responsible for all production including mixing, engineering and editing.
Shana Cleveland and the Sandcastles – Oh man, cover the ground
This record was recorded with guitarist and vocalist Shana Cleveland in her basement to 8 track reel to reel. Johnny recorded all the instruments over the course of a few weekends based on the schedules of the individual players, including doing piano recordings at a separate location. I played bass guitar and was responsible for recording, editing and mixing.
